Inner Light Astrology

Some very long time after the Universe began ....
Stardust became human ...
Somewhere in the vast magnitudes of the Cosmos ...
On this infinitesimally small planet ...
The Universe began to know itself ...

Our most Ancient Ancestors were guided through life by heavenly light – the Sun by day, the Moon and stars by night. Understanding the language of the Stars, they were able to hear stories told by the Gods about life, their relationships to the Gods, and how they were to live each day. These earliest languages were about the heavenly movements—how star patterns related to the great cosmic river called the Milky Way. Of special importance was the strange appearance and disappearance of the night lights. Some stars moved around the heavens, never disappearing into that great cosmic river. Others seemed to die, falling into the cosmic river. After a long time, these dead stars appeared once again in the nighttime skies, magically rising from the underworld. And so stories written on the Night Skies were able to guide our Ancient Ancestors during their daytime activities and nighttime journeys through the underworld.

Much later in our evolutionary journey, stories originally recorded in the stars were passed on to us through many languages: first in pictures, then in spoken words and finally in written languages. These stories are now called myths and archetypes. Today we study mythological stories seeking to understand who we are in this Universe. Along the way we seem to have lost our awareness of the living wisdom contained in the stars' stories, casting our eyes instead upon what we are doing here on Earth. We became enchanted by what humans had already accomplished and what they might be able to do in the future. As we plunged ever more deeply into the rhythms of our daily lives, we lost touch with our true Selves. It appears that we also lost our respect for the Cosmos and the necessity of conversing with her about our individual and collective lives as humans on this very special planet called Earth.

Our lives are still embedded in a place of Sunlight by day and Starlight by night. We are an intimate presence in an unbelievably vast, mysteriously personal Cosmos. From the beginning of time, our forbearers read their creation stories, and learned about their personal meaning by observing celestial movements across the Night Skies. When the Sun rose each new day, they attempted to fulfill purposes revealed by the Night Lights. Today, conversing with the mysterious celestial movements continues to be an extraordinary way to discover our life purposes, to be guided in fulfilling them.

Exploring that unique moment something comes into being, the birth moment, is how we penetrate possibilities and purposes of a lifetime. This can be done for anyone or anything born in a moment of time—be it a person, an event, a business, a work of art, an organization, a nation. All that has been born or has already died can be explored by looking at and listening to a birth chart.

We can once again participate in direct conversations with the Universe about the meaning of our lives. We can explore what seems to block us from fulfilling our purposes. We can converse directly with our ancestral lineages and understand the gifts and challenges we have inherited from them. We can successfully navigate our seemingly perilous journeys: to emerge from ancestral patterns, becoming the Selves who incarnated in that birth moment.

It is true. We can peel back the curtains of mystery and discover our real Selves!
