Revisiting the Precession of Equinoxes
Earth wobbles on its axis; this motion creates an equatorial bulge, causing the Earth to move backwards through the circle of constellations one degree every 72 years. This phenomenon is called the Precession of the Equinoxes. However, some ancestral sources suggest that precession results also from the motion of our Sun through the universe and not just the motion of the Earth spinning on its axis. These sources also suggest that the cyclic rise and fall of civilizations and consciousness relates to the Sun’s journey. It has been suggested that the Sun’s journey goes through cycles of ages--Golden Ages to Dark Ages and back again to Golden Ages. There is much to ponder here about the relationship of the Precession of the Equinoxes to the evolutionary journey of our Souls, the Earth and our Sun.
